You know how when you are a little kid, you dream about what you are going going to be when you grow up? How you are going to have all the things the people you see on TV have plus more: how you are going to have all the money in the world to get what you want at any time you want: how easy life is going to be when you become an adult. Well I am telling you now, the game of life is not that easy. Especially when you and your family are not as ahead in life as some families are.
Sometimes when you speak, it is going to feel like no one is listening, even the people who you feel know you best. This is when you should take the time to listen to yourself, because when it is all said and done, you are the one who has to live inside the flesh god has given you.
There may be times when you just feel like you do not want to be bothered by anyone, like you want to isolate yourself from the world around you, wherever that may be. Isolation is a good thing, do not feel obligated to please everyone around you, especially if you are not pleasing the man/woman in the mirror. It is not selfish to think about yourself, it is human nature. Just don't go thinking you are someone more magnified than who you actually are.
It is going to take some soul searching to get a good grasp of the type of person you are, and even when you feel like you have yourself figured out: you most likely do not. It is all about taking your life one step at a time, searching for answers yourself and not looking for them in other people, or what you see in popular culture. Life is one big opinion, everyone gets to interpret it in their own way: rather that be from what they see, hear, or seek. If life was as easy as getting everything you wanted as soon as you enter adulthood, then you would not be able to read this blog post right now.
Keep your head up when you feel it weighing itself down. Seek answers to your mysterious emotions that you feel you can not control, and figure out what is best for you. Because you are who you have to answer to at the end of each day.
